Beth Heckel

Founder and Executive Director

Founder and Executive Director of Think Humanity since 2007, following her vision and compassion to positively change peoples lives. Beth adheres to the principle that one’s destiny should not be solely determined by where they are born. Has more than four decades working in the nonprofit sector with roles ranging from leadership/management, administration and fund-raising. Years of service: 2007 to present. eTown E-Chievement Award 2013. Women of Distinction 2014 and 2019 nominee. Colorado Women of Influence “Woman of Vision” award and “Woman of Courage” award 2015. Beth is a member of Women of Influence and Birthing Kit Foundation Australia.

Jim Heckel

President

Jim has more than three decades of high-tech senior global managerial experience within the areas of supply chain management, information technology, and visionary leadership; former adjunct instructor at Front Range Community College; BSBA University of Illinois; MBA Wyoming; Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. Extensive global traveler and amateur author/photographer. Years of Think Humanity service: 2007 to present.

Aimee Heckel

Media and Promotions

More than two decades as a journalist, including special reports to developing countries, including Uganda and Haiti. Graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University with degrees in journalism and German, and also attended University of Heidelberg in Germany. Has been volunteering to help refugees since 2006. Spent six months to help rebuild the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, with an emphasis on public relations and administration/organization for construction teams. Worked as a features writer and columnist for the Boulder Daily Camera, before moving into travel writing and book editing full time. Years of service: 2007 to present.

Cindy Rauschenberger

Fundraising

Cindy is a graduate from The Women’s College of Denver University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has 40 years of experience in Administration, Training, Human Resources, Safety/Environmental, Procurement, Project and Supplier Management working for three top Colorado based corporations Adolph Coors Company, Frontier Airlines Inc. and Advanced Energy. She has experience in an Auction event firm providing Management and Leadership to organizations during their fund-raising events. Cindy presently is Supplier Manager-NPI for Advanced Energy.
Years of service: 2008 to present.

Dr. Will Reents

A physician in Family Medicine in Loveland, Colorado for 35 years who has gone on short term medical mission work in Honduras, Ecuador, Madagascar and Nigeria. Years of service 2010 to present.

Kevin Arnold

A manager for a software firm in Boulder, Colorado specializing in energy industry data analytics. He has been working in the energy industry since 2008 developing extensive knowledge of the natural gas and power generation markets. Graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Political Science. Volunteer with Think Humanity since 2012. Board member 2015 to present.

Kristin Stephens

Kristin currently serves as a Larimer County Commissioner in District 2. She previously held elected office as a Fort Collins City Councilmember, Mayor Pro Tem, and Chair of the Poudre Fire Authority. She has been a Think Humanity volunteer since 2008 and also volunteers as a Larimer County 4-H leader.
