Uwase Rinah

Rinah was born in Uganda, however the village is unknown.
The father keeps denying her not being his daughter and the teenage mother is not ready to take care of a baby alone. She tried at some point, but it reached time when she totally failed. The mother dumped this baby as she lost hope and so desperate in life.
Rinah is now 7 years old. Her mother is Ugandan and her father is Congolese.
Rhinah attends Yana Primary School. She is in primary 2 (2019) and is sponsored by Olivia Duncan.



Kahunde Prossy

Kahunde Prossy

Prossy is 12 years old and has been helped with her education since 2012. She is Ugandan residing in Hoima District.
In 2011 her family was in a car accident. The father, a pastor, died in the accident. Prossy had an injury to her leg, but today she is fine and can run and play like other children. She in primary 7 (2020) and attends Yana Primary School.
Prossy is sponsored by Caitlyn and Marshall Whisler.



Fatia Beyonce

Fatia Beyonce

Beyonce 12 years old and is in Primary 7 (2020) class.
She is being raised by her mother's brother, Sadick who also has a wife Justine and two children.
Beyonce was 6 months old when her mother, Aminah of 22 years died.
Beyonce's full name is Fatia Beyonce. Sadick says, Fatia means "first born." Beyonce's birthday is on May 17 and she is a Ugandan.
She attends St. Jude Primary School in Hoima, Uganda.
Beyonce has been helped by TH donors since 2012. Beyonce is sponsored by the Levine family and Kristin Stephens.



Vumilia Peace

Vumilia Peace

Peace is a Congolese refugee age 17 years. She lives in the Kyangwali Refugee Camp in Uganda. She is Bataringa (Pygmy) by tribe. Peace's mother died from HIV/AIDS when Peace was 9 years old. At that time Peace was also tested. The test showed that she was positive with HIV. She is on ARVs and now doing much better. When she feels well enough to attend school, she attends school at Yana Primary School in Hoima, Uganda. Peace is helped with her health care by Sara Lackersteen/Ethical Living.
Peace was not well enough to attend school but now we are working on a solution to help her to learn a skill to become self-reliant.



Kelline Honorinne Hollie

Kelline Honorinne Hollie

Kelline was 9 years old in March 2020. She is in primary 3. She was born in Kyangwali Refugee Camp. Her mother has HIV and no longer lives in the camp. The mother is Rwandan and the father is Congolese.
Kelline stays with the father and many other orphans. Kelline is attending school in Hoima at Yana Primary School.
She is sponsored by Dustin and Wendy Keefe.



Kirabo Ruth (Rihana)

Kirabo Ruth (Rihana)

Rihana (Ruth) was born in Uganda in 2007 and she is 12 years old. Her mother failed to get her in school due to lack of scholastic materials. The father is too irresponsible to help. They find it hard to even afford basic needs like food. She is now in primary 6 at Yana Primary School in Hoima, Uganda 2020. She is sponsored by Rose Harmon, Becky Batchelor and Megan Johns.

Racheal is 7 years old from the village of Kizimba in Kitoba sub county, Uganda. Both her parents are HIV positive. The father abandoned her after she was born and never returned. Racheal attends Bukerenge Primary School and she is in Primary 2. She is sponsored by Donnie and Paula Gladfelter.

Mark is 8 years old. He has both parents but they are ill. He is in primary 3 (2019) and attending Yana Primary School in Hoima. Mark is a Ugandan and he is sponsored by Samantha, Laurence, Shaina and Samuel Levine.

Blessing Ruth is 5 years old (2019) and from Kyaka 11 Refugee Camp in western Uganda. She lives there with her mom, four sisters and one brother. She is Congolese by nationality.
She is in Middle Class at Angel's Care and is sponsored by Brenda and Adam Oman.

Tumihirwe Frank Innocent

Frank is 8 years old and in primary 3 (2020). His birthday is October 8, 2011. Frank's father makes about $36 a month as a cleaner and the family's money goes towards food. Frank's mother has left the family which has put a big strain on the father. Frank has been helped through Think Humanity since 2016 when he was 5 years old. He lost his sponsor in 2020 due to health issues. He has a temporary sponsor for term 1, 2020. His present sponsor is Ray Martinez.
Frank attends St. Franscisco Primary.

Abigail will be six years old on August 20, 2020. She lives with her family in Kireka, Uganda. Her parents met in the Acholi Quarter Camp. She has older twin sisters, another sister following the twins and the youngest is her brother.
Abigail attends school at Kireka SDA Primary School. She is in Upper Baby Class.
Abigail is sponsored by the Yishai and Erin Statter.

Emilly is five years old (2020 and is from Kyaka 11 Refugee Camp in western Uganda. She lives there with her mom, four sisters and one brother. She is Congolese by nationality.
She is in Nursery School in Baby class at Angel's Care and is sponsored by Melissa Messer.

Isaac is six years old (2019) and lives in Kyaka 11 Refugee Camp in western Uganda.
He lives with his mom and five sisters. He is Congolese by nationality.
He is in Primary 1 at Angel's Care and is sponsored by Gary and Angie Cooper.

Mugisha is 16 years old and in senior 1 (2020) at Mandela Secondary School in Hoima, Uganda. He is from Kyaka 11 Refugee Camp in western Uganda and his family is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He said that he would like to become a mathematics teacher in the future. Mugisha is sponsored by Pat Troeltzsch.



Nancy Adyek

Nancy Adyek

Nancy is a Ugandan and she is one of six children. She is living in Kyangwali Refugee Camp under supervision of her school director. She is in Primary 3 (2019) at Planning for Tomorrow School.
Her father is deceased by suicide and her mother breaks rocks to try and feed the younger children.
Nancy said, My long term goal is to be self-reliant. If I manage to become a leader and an entrepreneur, I want to live in rural areas innovating and running social entrepreneurship benefiting women and children and I want to fully support girl child education.
Nancy is a P4T student however six TH donors put in their money to help her get through primary school for the next four years.

We are proud to announce that Solange has graduated.
Solange has been with Think Humanity as a student since 2012. She graduated from Bugema University and was sponsored by Debbie Clark of USA. She studied social work and social administration.
Solange is Congolese, but due to war in North Kivu, DRC her family has spent many years in the Kyangwali Refugee Camp.



Giramata Assia

Giramata Assia

Assia is 22 years old and was born in 1996 during the war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The war took the life of her father. Her mother ran to Rwanda where Assia lived in a refugee camp up until now.
Thanks to her sponsors she is at Kigali Univeristy in Rwanda to get a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration and Local Governments. She was in Kampala at St. Lawrence University however due to different equivalents it was better for her to go back to Rwanda where she was from.
Assia is sponsored by Hilary Steinberger and Ann Martin.



Nasali Beatrice

Beatrice is 21 years old and from the village of Nalweyo, Uganda. Her mother passed away leaving eight children behind. Although her father has now remarried, his new wife does not help support the children from his first marriage. Beatrice is the first to go on to further education in her family. Her elder brothers are just at home farming. Nasali attends Kyambogo University in Procurement and Logistics Management. We thank her sponsor Hollie Hirst.

Flavia is 21 years old. She is from Kyangwali and attended school in Kasonga, a village within the Kyangwali Refugee Camp in Uganda. At the age of seven, her father left their family and no one knows where he went. He left behind five children for his wife to care for on her own. (Note: In June 2013 Flavia's mother died leaving all children orphaned.)
Flavia was an Advanced Level graduate through the Think Humanity Girls' Hostel in 2018. She now attends Kaliro National Teacher's College to become a Mathematics teacher.

Katusabe Janipher

Janipher was living with her family on a game reserve in Uganda. They were kicked out of their home and forced to move to Nalweyo in June 2011. Janipher's mother does any simple work that she can in order to support the family's eight children. Janipher's father is a severe alcoholic and has even gone to the extent of selling the grass roof of their house to buy alcohol. At 22 years old, Janipher likes music and she is now studying Business Administration in Hoima at Multitech Business School. She is on her final term. She was sponsored by Dan and Brenda Roman.
Began with TH in 2012 in senior 1.
Janipher graduated in January 2020 and has started her own tailoring business in Nalweyo Village.



Muhire Immaculate

Muhire Immaculate

Immaculate is 21 years old and was born in Rwanda. She came to Uganda as a refugee in 2002. Her father died, thus she lives with only her mother in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement Camp. Immaculate has one brother and two sisters. She enjoys playing netball.
Immaculate is studying Business Administration at MultiTech Business School in Hoima. She was sponsored by Terri Keeler.
Began in 2012 in Senior 1.
Immaculate graduated in January 2020.



Alum Rose

Alum Rose

Rose is 22 and was born in South Sudan. Due to war in her country, she fled to Uganda and now lives in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. Her father died, leaving her mother to care for Rose and her two brothers. Rose enjoys playing netball.
Rose is taking business administration classes at Multitech Business School in Hoima and graduated in January 2020. She was sponsored by John Hereford.



Kademere Gloria

Kademere Gloria

Gloria is 20 years old. She was born July 23, 1999. She is Ugandan by nationality and there are seven children in her family. Her father died when she was young. She said her mother is a peasant but always tried her best.
Gloria attends school at Kampala School of Health Sciences and is studying to be a pharmacist. She is sponsored by Dallas Harris of UnlockHope.



Atugonza Hellen

Atugonza Hellen

Hellen is 19 years old and was born in Kyangwali, Uganda. She attended school in Kasonga Village within the Kyangwali Refugee Camp. Her father died, leaving four children behind for their mother to care for. Hellen's mother struggles to support these children because she is very sick and weak. Hellen is going to school at Mityana Institute of Nursing and Midwifery and is sponsored by Dallas Harris of UnlockHope.
